Dr. Deanne Cranford-Wesley is the Department Chair at the David iTEC Center at Forsyth Technical Community College. She is also an instructor for Information System Security and Business Information Technology. Dr. Cranford -Wesley is a cybersecurity professional and has appeared as a subject matter expert on Fox8 and Time Warner News discussing recent advances in cyber security vulnerability. She also teaches information security, computer forensics, and networking courses in the Business Information Technology Department. Additionally, Dr. Cranford-Wesley has presented at various conferences including several presentations at The Colloquium Information System Security Education Conference.
Prior to this role Dr. Cranford-Wesley led the School of Technology to the designation of “Center of Academic Excellence in Information System Security” acknowledged by the National Security Administration in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security. Dr. Cranford-Wesley was awarded the title and benefits of “Distinguished Adjunct Faculty” in the College of Technology at Davenport University.
Dr. Cranford-Wesley is a published author of various technology related articles. She holds a PhD in Education Leadership with a focus in Instructional Technology and a Master of Art in Administration. Furthermore, she has obtained the following certifications; Security +, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP®), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®), and Cisco Certified Instructor (CCAI).
