Competitions

Competitions are an important way for students to gain hands-on cybersecurity experience as well as build essential leadership and teamwork skills.

National Cyber League (NCL) Competition Highlights

For two consecutive years, students from the Excelsior College Cybersecurity programs have participated in the National Cyber League (NCL) competition. The NCL competition provides students with opportunities to demonstrate their practical competence in the cybersecurity field and also work in a team environment to promote a mechanism to assess the effectiveness of the cybersecurity curriculum and build a learning community.

National Cyber League Cybersecurity Competition

The National Cyber League provides an ongoing virtual training ground for students to develop and validate cybersecurity skills and is designed using content that draws on individual/team games, professional certification, and job roles. Symantec Cyber Readiness Challenge

Under the guidance of Excelsior Professor Velislov Pavlov, Excelsior College students participated in a number of cyber competitions during 2013.
