Michael Tu, PhD is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Information Technology & Graphics at Purdue University Calumet. He has taught many courses in information assurance and digital forensics and has helped develop curriculum in digital forensics and cyber security. He has more than 30 publications in peer reviewed conferences and journals, and has actively participated in research projects that are sponsored by external funding programs such as NSF MRI, REU, and RET.
He received the PhD in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas, in 2006 and has obtained many professional certificates in information security and digital forensics. He is a member of the IEEE, ASEE, and InfraGard.
Areas of interest include: information assurance, computer forensics, distributed computing, and sustainability.
