Terry M. Evans is a business and cybersecurity consultant with a professional career spanning over 20 years, including leadership and management positions in both the public and private sector and in government. His background includes the areas of marketing, management, finance, criminal justice, change management, operations, human resource management, cybersecurity, and teaching.
Terry previously supervised a regional consumer frauds bureau for the Office of the NYS Attorney General which was responsible for investigating and prosecuting businesses and individuals engaged in fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, or illegal practices. In that capacity, he frequently assisted victims of cybercrime and worked to help prosecute cyber criminals. Mr. Evans is well versed on these issues, and is a frequent speaker and trainer on these subjects.
Terry holds several degrees including a BS with dual focuses – business/criminal justice, an MBA and a MS-Cybersecurity, all earned from Excelsior College, Albany, NY
Terry strongly believes in Corporate Social Responsibility and in “giving back.” As such, Terry is involved in numerous causes and activities including teaching math, science, history, and technology to high-risk public school students.
Areas of interest include: cybersecurity training, social engineering prevention training, governmental policy, small business and non-profit cybersecurity awareness training, and cybersecurity college program recruitment.
