National Cybersecurity Institute’s: Initiative for Women in Cybersecurity (NCI’s IWICS)

As part of its continuous efforts to build the cybersecurity workforce and influence an informed leadership base that implements cutting-edge cybersecurity policy, NCI at Excelsior College launched its Initiative for Women in Cybersecurity (NCI’s IWICS). The goal of NCI’s IWICS is to offer support and solutions to women in cybersecurity by offering skills training and indentifying best practices for utilization by women in the cybersecurity field to help understand and influence perceptions.

Throughout the year, NCI will launch a series of webinars, podcasts, and articles entitled Women in Cybersecurity Leadership.  These will cover best practices utilized by women in cybersecurity fields in various areas of critical infrastructure. Each webinar will feature an influential woman leader in cybersecurity who will share with us Who she is! What she does! And How she gets it done!

In addition to monthly webinars, the IWICS Leadership team will be publishing blogs dedicated to making a difference for women in the cybersecurity field which you may read at .

The IWICS leaders are looking forward to raising awareness and transforming traditional gender images in the field to open opportunities for women of today and the future.
