The risk of a major cyber-attack is unique. Without warning, your organization can be devastated – operationally hamstrung through denial of service attacks; intellectual property drained; and sensitive information stolen, destroyed, or irrevocably altered. Boards of Directors and executive leadership of organizations should take special efforts to insure that they implement the proper precautions and build a culture of security awareness.
Utilizing enterprise risk management tools to assist with creating cyber resilience is recommended. Planning, preparation, creating scenarios, identifying critical partners, and practicing the response plans will help an organization be ready to respond and recover when a cyber-attack occurs.
